There are too many people dying from gun violence. According to Every Town for Gun Safety it says, “There have been 142 shootings in schools in the U.S ,since 20 children and six adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut on December 14,2012.” This is a problem because there has been a number of children who don’t get to see their future and a number of parents that mourn for the death and yearn for justice. Another mass shooting that occurred that was in Orlando is, “Omar Mateen used a handgun and an assault rifle to kill 50 people and injure 53 in a Orlando Florida Nightclub.” This matters because this makes a crime a pure act of hate to the LGBTQ people. In conclusion, too many people are dying from guns. The more people use guns for a hate crime, the more this human population will be decreased each year.
