Welcome, I’m Malcolm. I am a 7th grade Launch student. I like to play football and play 2k. One thing I want to do after high school is go to college and play for Tulsa University as a quarterback or running back. One thing I’m curious about learning about Gun Violence is how it affects our community and how we can change that in our communities.

So that really made me connect to this topic.
Toxic Gun Culture in The United States
Did you know that data shows that men are more likely to engage in gun violence? I believe that media and culture has a negative impact on gun violence in the United States. I believe that video games, movies, and television shows do influence violent behavior in children, teens, and adults. I feel this way because violent video games make young adults more violent.
I feel that media culture has does influence gun violence in the United States because many kids have become more violent from watching violent movies and playing video games. According to “Psychology of Mass Shootings,” one way to feel like a man is to get a gun and kill people. This shows that media and culture does gun violence in the United States because boys and men don’t have a way to express themselves, so they use violent video game as a way to express themselves.
Celebrities and Gun Violence
Can celebrity involvement help solve the problem of gun violence?
I feel that they can because they are well-known and famous and they will help people start to realize that gun violence is getting out of control. More people will listen to the problems that go on in our daily lives when celebrities talk about them. Gun violence has gone out of control.

According to Dwyane Wade, who is a famous basketball player. He says that gun laws are weak and that city leaders in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois need to make changes. The reason why he was speaking out about gun violence was because his cousin was shot while pushing a stroller. People are going to listen to him because he is famous.

Former President Barack Obama stated at a ceremony that “We need to feel the fierce urgency of now.” When he talked about gun control laws, he teared up, and this shows how in America gun violence has affected people’s lives. Even though not many people agreed with Obama, some people thought maybe there could be a change. The politicians couldn’t change it, but he did change the people’s minds about guns. My opinion stays the same because without politicians, without celebrities, where would we be right now? It’s 2017! We need to start making the right decisions. The violence is Getting Out Of Control!

I’m the gun, and I wait and for my user,
I’m the last thing see before you’re executed,
I’m the user,
Student that I use to be, now madness what I see, Only sadness what I be,
And I’m the victim, A bully who speak to the wrong mind, A bully that hated you and was there at the wrong time,
I created a monster a been that I couldn’t stop,
I guess I made you heart hard as … rocks,
You was a new student that no one liked, For 6 months your mind stared be tam, And I guess I was the only one to blam,
Do feel the same,
I speak and speak punch and punch made you blood unit I made you fall to your neils,
I even had fun being mean,
but I never thought that it would lead to my time I guess that the pay for my greed,
Now,
I’m no longer student Or girl I’m only the user
my heart is hard then pearls, I got the gun and not afeared to use it,
The gun told me that he thought that I was his special user That it makes me his new secret weapon,
I’m shore destroy and make you cry with no hesitation,
I give you this informant just to show I have no passion,
I´m only doing this just show no one should be humiliating,
Or frustrated, disrespect, be on raging,
You put me in a cage and abuse me like I was animal,
You’re terrible,
and you would never be forgive – able,
I´m coming after you just want to know,
Now all you have to do is just wait for Flow,
I sorry please wait just don’t do that
I´m no longer bully, Only the vitem but Is it best to systerm?
No it was just me no just greed,
Why is happend to me,
I don’t want to blood,
But seem,
It’s because of me being mean,
It going to lead to my leave,
“WAIT NO STOP!”
Boom
Yes you could finally be happy,
But should I be sadly,
Yes don’t forget what she did,
But it was a live, it was a soul,
It was a kid,
Why should you care,
Because what should I do now
If I live in a life of sin,
What did u think was going to happen,
You just flow with the wind,
No I just want stop her in any way I can,
Lies you liked and even then your heart was full with excitement,
So does that make me the exacater,
Yes and now you are my user,
So now go use me on yourself it would be quick
it would done in flash
And I promise you problem would never come back ,
Why not,
you are sin, exacater,
You are everything you ever hated and that why you the user
“Yes maybe I should it’s not like I make it,”
Boom
And that was the story of two girls,
One gun was able to destroy their whole world
Their live never be able to the sun ,
Both victims heartbeat had no dram,
Causing them to die was his mission
And the only reason he was able to do it is because of the system,
In your mind u would think one of them was the villain,
Evil doer that that had no motivation,
But the gun is the real killer in this situation,
He control the girl made her do what he want,
I guess she his weapon to use
And the bully was the one who got abuse
It sorry to say is mission would never be over.
Gun Rates In The United States VS. Australia
Compared to other core countries, the United States has higher gun-related deaths than Australia. CBS News states that “Americans are 10 times more likely to be killed by guns.” The results are consistent with the argument from Erin G (assistant professor) that firearms are killings than not protecting us. Americans are seven times more likely to die from gun violence and six times more likely to accidently be killed with a gun. This evidence proves how guns need to get out of the U.S. so the gun violence can decrease.
In 1996, Australians experienced its deadliest mass shooting in history, in which 35 people died and 23 people were injured. The Australian government responded to the massacre by banning automatic, pump action, shotguns, and semi-automatic firearms. As a result, 640,000 assault rifles were taken off the street: no mass shootings or no highly dangerous weapons that can kill many. However, in the United States, the 2nd amendment guarantees, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. “I believe that the 2nd Amendment should not protect the right of the people to own assault rifles. I feel this way because you don’t know what they could do with it. Let’s say for example, the Charleston shooting, there were 9 out of 10 people shot and it’s very important to say that it’s unfair for the victims that couldn’t survive this. This exemplifies how, they have experienced the terrifying massacre.
Gun Violence & Hip Hop
The sound of the gun leaving the barrel bang bang.
Turn around the corner another brother is taken away.
Turn the corner again now a thief with a 45 pointing it at my bro head im scared we gon die.
October 30th scared to go outside because they say it brings up from the enemies dead.
Walking down the corner in the ally, drugs being sold and people are dead. Now the projects Where most people grow up. Being on them streets is really hard its like you the devil trying to fight the angels all day and night.
Come on now let’s make a change 2x
These guns ain’t fun let’s have some fun and lets us all kids play, Let us go to the park have a good game of one on one instead of being in the house bored and not having fun
Video Game Gun Violence
Did you know that data shows that men are more likely to engage in gun violence? I believe that media and culture has a negative impact on gun violence in United States. I believe that video games, movies, and television shows do influence violent behavior in children, teens, and adults. It is this way because many people love to think they can get away with it in real life. Some human minds think that war and guns can help change the world but it’s changing for the bad of it; people are scared to step outside. I think people with behavior problems should not have guns. An NRA official said, “only a good guy with a good can stop a bad guy with a gun.” I know that is right, but no one can’t stop gun violence.
Gun Violence that is expressed by the media
In our current social media, gun violence can easily be expressed in various ways. Anyone can show the violence of guns with virtually no effort. For example, some individuals may post pictures of themselves with weapons to inflict fear on others. Or, they may go through a troubling experience, and post about hurting the opposing enemy, with a weapon. And unfortunately, it does not end there.
Hip Hop Song
Song Title: The speech
I wake up, scared to leave my house with all this disaster
Knowing that every single day on the news there’s always a big blaster
About the guns that are being use take someone’s life away
Not even caring about that person’s family or friend in any type of way
Think twice before you do something that you’ll later on regret in life
There’s always a big consequence for every bad actions you take sometimes
The way people are killing each other is so crazy
When they pick up a gun they make it seems so easy.
Stop picking up a gun and start picking up a job
Don’t let your whole life be waste to a mob.
Be different in your own way
You can change the world in anyway you believe can change it in.
Stop with the violence
Let everyone grow up and be who they wanna be
Let everyone dream and be free.
